Preval organises medical workshop in Community of Guadalupe
With the aim of launching programs and projects to assist the most deprived people and advancing child development, FCC signed an agreement with the Active 20-30 Club of Las Cumbres, enabling the company to join the business alliance "manos a la obra".
The medical workshop was held on Saturday 14 May in the Community of Guadalupe in collaboration with the Los Altos de San Francisco Health Centre and the Active 20-30 Club. There was a successful turnout with close to 95 attendees, including children, adults and elderly persons. The event had participation from 2 general practitioners, 8 medical technicians, 5 dentists and more than 10 volunteers from the Active 20-30 Club. The following medical services were provided:

  • 78 patients attended by general practitioners
  • 20 Pap smears carried out
  • 153 vaccinations given
  • 15 patients fully vaccinated
  • 75 patients received dental treatment including cleaning, fillings and tooth extraction
Children and young people listened to a talk on the importance of dental hygiene and took part in a short activity that involved candy and piñatas.
Carlos Pantoja, head of the industrial area of Preval and member of the FCC Construcción América group, highlighted that the work carried out during this mobile medical event between FCC and the Active 20-30 Club of Las Cumbres reinforced the company's commitment to the communities surrounding Las Canteras, as partnerships of this sort benefit the citizens and ensure they have access to services that boost their quality of life.
